Bronson seems to be rocking it in Saltillo. Another baptism this week, this time with a young (newly) married couple. Here is an excerpt from his letter:

The couple we were teaching, finally got baptized! They have been meeting with the missionaries off and on for over a year. They were unable to get baptized because they were not married.  She didn’t want to get married at first, but thanks to my compañero, they got all the papers and payments needed for the casamiento (wedding). The Relief Society president (picture below) brought some móle and a cake for them after the baptism. It was really a special experience for everyone.

You know what’s annoying? When a drunk guy thinks we are Jehovah’s Witnesses and he wants us to come out into the street to do some kind of big blessing. Yesterday, it was raining a lot, and we were walking down the street to the bus stop to go to the church building.  A guy–I’m 95% sure that he was drunk– chased us down. He knew we were missionaries (because the Jehovah’s Witnesses frequently come through and knock on every door).  He wanted me to speak to him in English about God, so I did. It was the best contact I have ever done. Afterwards, he took the time to explain to me that he needed that and that talking to me made his day. I hope he becomes another promising investigator because we need more!

Goodbye for now,

Elder Bronson Miner
